Live air quality monitoring
MOPITT, aboard the Terra satellite, measures carbon monoxide (CO) in the troposphere. CO is a pollutant and a tracer of combustion, including wildfires and industrial emissions. MOPITT data tracks pollution sources and transport to improve the understanding of air quality and atmospheric chemistry. MOPITT CO measurements are essential for monitoring combustion processes and assessing their impact on air quality.
