To support both academics and technology in strengthening joint operational capacity to enhance the prevention and resolution of transboundary haze in the Mekong region in a concrete manner.

Mr. Surin said that he had discussed cooperation with the Lao PDR. In the future, it will promote the use of the communication channel "WhatsApp Hotline CLEAR Sky" at the level of the Director General of Thailand. Laos and Myanmar have provided quick coordination. Meanwhile, The Department of Pollution Control has expressed its readiness to act as the secretary of the Thailand-Laos-Myanmar Joint Working Group. In addition, there are plans to develop a central platform system for monitoring the smog situation between the three countries so that information can be exchanged effectively. In terms of trade measures, The Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand has notified the driving guidelines in accordance with the Ministry of Commerce's Notification on Designating Feed Corn as a Commodity Requiring Certification and Compliance with Import Regulation Measures B.E. 2568 (2025) as part of efforts to promote burn-free agricultural products and reduce the problem of transboundary haze from the agricultural sector.
The cooperation reflects the commitment of Thailand and its neighbors to jointly address transboundary air pollution in a sustainable manner through cooperation mechanisms in terms of policy, technology, and the implementation of integrated measures at the regional level. Mr. Surin said.
